R.M.S. Titanic photographed by Frank Beken on
April 10, 1912, 5 days before the accident that came to
take more than 1500 lives. Frank lives on the Isle of Wight and
was fascinated by sailboats and wanted to photograph them. Then-
the cameras of the time were not intended for tough conditions and
he was forced to make his own camera which became a model
to 20th century 2 lens appliances, with a lens for the viewfinder and
one for the image.
