Poster with motifs from the classic Tintin albums. Here Tintin, Captain Haddock and the dog Milo stand on a raft in the middle of the sea and shout out for help. The colors goes in blue shades with a black background. The album is about how Tintin and Captain Haddock discover that African Muslims on a pilgrimage to Mecca are in fact drawn into the Arab slave trade on the Red Sea to be sold as free workers. The album, in the original Coke en stock (1956–1958), was added against the background of an international scandal that gained a lot of space in the newspapers and inspired Hergé. According to the report, Arabs of Senegalese origin attracted pilgrims from West and Central Africa to Mecca. The journey went via trucks to Sudan and then by boat to Jeddah. Once in Saudi Arabia, they were "arrested" as illegal pilgrims and handed over to slave traders.
