Tintin i Kongo
Poster from the classical album Tintin au Congo. Edited around 1930. Size 70x50 cm.
Tintin travels as a journalist to Congo, where he spends time with Africans, fights wild animals and comes into conflict with a bandit named Tom. When he hangs out with the Africans, he solves various small problems in simple ways, which despite this are considered fantastic among the population. Sometimes he solves the problems in less sympathetic ways, such as when he causes a train to derail; he mocks the train driver and the passengers of the train in an arrogant way without helping the people. This poster has been disputed lately as to much equalize the original population with primates.
